catsitting earl. he truly is a muffler cat - the fact that i could maneuver to take this picture without being strangled under his fuzzy weight is truly a feat.

tuesday toe day.

i'm feeling overwhelmed today. a lot to do one my one day off - well, minus thankgsiving which is to be devoted entirely to pumpkin cheescake.

there are a few records that when i listen to, I feel like i can accomplish anything. does anyone know what i mean? one of them is neil young's 'after the goldrush', the other throwing muses 'red heaven'. i need that sort of day - where everything catapaults off one another and syncs in some sort of hollywood movie scenario. but not really that fictional. i just want to wake up and have my day be with me.. instead of spending hours trying to fix the whatever it is i'm working on, surrounded by old newspapers and a foreboding feeling of time/money/potential lost. i try to plan these days to come to me as if i just calm down and de-stress some portal of clarity will open in my brain. well with a helpful boost of caffeine and old dinosaur jr. i'm feeling better - a hopeful note to disregard the ticking clock that marks dinner time as some end to productiviy.

carriage return.

today i've been reading all the tara hardy stuff i can find online... she's absolutely amazing. i have to look into taking one of her classes soon - maybe saving up all my change for a few months. i am having a lot of problems writing for more than 10 minutes lately. its like i keep starting the ignition in my brain with a sentence and it only runs for about a paragraph.

the other day, on the way to west seattle, a truck ahead of me suddenly emited a hammer from its bed - tumbling and sparking down the highway at 70 miles an hour it jumped over my car and narrowly grazed my rearview mirror. and later that afternoon an old RV suddenly lost its entire bumper while i was driving behind it - i swerved into the left lane and missed the insanely wide corrugated bumper by only a foot. not only can people in seattle not drive - which is evident to just about anyone who comes here for anywhere but seattle - they obviously don't know how to safely stow hammers and invest in RV corrosion reversal.

is this horrible?
