super oxide

imagine the most bizarre event - getting flowers at work from a married woman with bright red lipstick and fishnet stockings. refill the tape dispenser. make lists of everthing i will do when i'm not standing still, doing relatively nothing all those 50 hours a week at work. imaginative bouquets of tulips.. exhaustion of money for time. at least to produce something. i hope. a song at the end of the day, a painting, a stack of pictures.. i leave beer bottles littered around the house. and, yes - i do much better with the heat than with the cold. see, the thing about summer is that you can hear everything.

back to newport for my uncle's wedding last week.. the navy blue, khaki, boat shoe, w.a.s.p.iness of it all definately drove me to the edge of my neverending gin and tonics - but i pulled off a pinstripe suit and cigar smoking decadent evening of personal dance glee despite my aunts insistance that i inherited the brains in the family not the looks.
